Antropocruzo no Rio Innovation Week 2024

A exposição ANTROPOCRUZO chega de Nova York (EUA) e desembarca no Pier Mauá para a Rio Innovation Week que ocorre de 13 a 16 de agosto. No primeiro dia do evento, os professores Luiza Novaes, Nilton Gamba Jr. e aluna de mestrado Kallie Dias participam da mesa Antropocruzo: Pesquisa, Design e Carnaval com Leonardo Bora (Acadêmicos do Grande Rio), Flávio Sabrá (IFRJ campus Belford Roxo) e Desirée Bastos (UFRJ-EBA) no Palco Tech, às 11h.

Os convidados fazem uma reflexão sobre suas experiências em aproximar processos de criação com o ensino, inovação e novas tecnologias a partir da exposição interativa Antropocruzo, montada recentemente na Galeria Saphira & Ventura em Nova York. O Rio Innovation Week é o maior evento global de tecnologia e inovação. Além das conferências, o projeto conta com uma grande Feira de Negócios e experiências únicas pautadas pela inovação e tecnologia.

A exposição em Nova York na Galeria Saphira & Ventura ocorreu nos dias 18 a 25 de julho e foi o primeiro evento de celebração dos 30 anos do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Design da PUC-Rio.

      A exposição documenta a repercussão de um artefato ancestral dos povos originários brasileiros (Manto Tupinambá) em um desfile de carnaval no Rio de Janeiro (Escola de Samba Acadêmicos da Grande Rio) a partir da perspectiva de um método de memória e difusão chamado Design de Histórias. Em 2024, os carnavalescos da Grande Rio (Leonardo Bora e Gabriel Haddad) levam à avenida o enredo “Nosso Destino É Ser Onça”. Guiados pela narrativa mítica do livro do escritor Alberto Mussa, eles propõem uma reflexão sobre o simbolismo da onça na cena artístico-cultural brasileira, abordando temas como antropofagia e encantamento e partindo da força desse imaginário nos povos indígenas.
